Why Perfect is Overrated

We spend a lot of time trying to make things perfect.

The perfect safety system.
The perfect risk assessment.
The perfect toolbox talk.
The perfect piece of paperwork.

But people aren't perfect. Work isn't perfect. And the day rarely goes exactly to plan.

I'd rather have a team that knows what matters, speaks up when something doesn't feel right, and adapts when the job changes — than a beautifully organised folder nobody actually uses.

Good safety isn't about getting everything perfect.

It's about creating a workplace where people are thinking, communicating and looking out for each other.

Because sometimes “good enough to work in the real world” is a lot safer than “perfect on paper.”
